Anomalous Interactions
§1. Purpose & Scope
A. This chapter governs the interaction of anomalies, both sentient and object. This chapter is relevant to combative and civil personnel.
B. Eta-9, the Military Police, and the Scientific Department are responsible for the upkeep specific anomaly interactions per the Anomaly Interaction Manual.
i. General anomaly interaction regulations that does not pertain to a certain anomaly are under the jurisdiction of the Ethics Committee.
C. Lambda-7, in accordance to their regulations, may use anomalies to assist in combative duties.
Definitions
For the purpose of this section:
A. "aggravated" or "provoked" shall mean a neutral anomaly's state where it displays or conducts hostile actions or intentions against personnel other than the actor.
A. "containment" or "contained" shall mean an anomaly's state where it does not present any risk toward Foundation personnel or the site in general and where it is under the condition of its respective containment procedures.
B. "containment teams" shall mean the respective combat unit that has jurisdiction over recontainment efforts as provided in the Combative Jurisdiction document.
C. "containment procedures" shall mean the efforts made by the containment team to recontain a hostile anomaly.
§2. Sentient Anomalies
A. Personnel shall not significantly contribute to an aggravated or provoked state of a neutral anomaly.
B. Personnel shall not interfere with the containment of an anomaly.
C. Personnel shall not cause the breach of containment of a hostile anomaly.
D. Personnel shall not interfere with containment procedures of a breached anomaly.
i. For the purpose of subsection (d), interfering with containment procedures shall mean:
intentionally capturing the hostile anomaly's attention;
moving outside of reasonably safe areas as described by containment teams responsible for the containment procedures; and
hindering the efforts of containment teams in any way.
E. Personnel shall not use containment controls without permission from containment teams.
F. Any additional regulation toward a specific anomaly shall be amended in the Anomaly Interaction Manual.
§3. Object Anomalies
A. Personnel shall not intentionally infect themselves or provide themselves with the effects of an anomaly.
i. Personnel who were infected in a legitimate manner may work to spread the infection and harm others. Infected instances must not infect others in a designated spawn area.
B. Personnel shall not test an anomaly on themselves or other individuals.
C. Combative units, as specified in the document Combative Jurisdiction, may carry, move, or transport non-sentient anomalies, containers, and/or crates.
§4. Spectating Anomalous Experiments
A. Foundation Personnel are permitted to observe anomalous experiments and tests conducted within Paragon Research Institute, in accordance with the clearance restrictions below, based on testing location:
Cleanrooms Testing
A. All personnel from the Ethics Committee, Audit and Accountability Committee, and Administrative Department can spectate without prior permission.
B. Foundation Personnel classified Security Class-0+ and Class-D Quality Assurance Testers/Supporters can spectate only with prior permission from the hosting researcher.
Medium/Heavy Containment Zones Testing
A. All personnel from the Ethics Committee, Audit and Accountability Committee, and Administrative Department can spectate without prior permission.
B. Foundation Personnel with Security Class-1+ can spectate only with prior permission from the hosting researcher.
